Signifying Nothing

sometimes reading unsolicited short stories for hours makes me cranky

if i read the words “she tucked a lock/strand of hair behind her ear” one more time i will cry. this is one of the most unoriginal and most popular sentences in the english langauge. fuck this sentence. it has been used so many times that it has totally lost any meaning. plus, it’s boring as fuck. so you tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. WHO CARES.  what does this tell me about anything?

i’m pretty sure that sentence was used five times in “the time traveler’s wife.” another reason why that book is awful.
